I am currently helping people find music tutors across the UK using an online tool and may be able to help you. Using my experience as a music teacher I can contact teachers for music lessons and may save you time finding a suitable candidate. This service is completely free of charge to all people who are looking for music tuition.

Interests could be singing, vocal lessons or tuition for children or adults, harp lessons, trumpet lessons, music lessons in Birmingham, Manchester, wherever you are and whatever your chosen instrument, if you fill in the form I should be able to give you some help finding someone. You have my word your details will not be used for any other purpose.

Piano for Sale Lewisham

Hi,

I have a client who is currently looking to move their piano out of their house to make space for a new piano which has apparently been passed down by the family and now needs a new home.

The piano in question which is for sale is a Bentley model less than 10 years old and in excellent condition. I went around today and had a good listen and could find no quibble with the overall quality of the sound its capable of.

If you're looking for a loud piano, this is not the one, as this particular brand has clearly been designed with home practice in mind and projects a gently mellow sound.

Whilst the piano has been used regularly and kept in tune every six months as required I could identify no significant wear on the hammer felts and all the inner workings including both pedals seem to be in tip top condition.

I understand they are looking for around £600 for this instrument and to get it moved which is frankly a bargain and much less than I've seen good piano'a sold for recently.

Anyway, enough blogging, if you're interested to come and have a look and would be willing to pay for getting it moved (c. £80) then let me know and I'll see if I can help. 07985 646514.

Thanks,

Ben

Background Profile

Hello. My name is Ben Singer. I’m a music teacher in the South East London area giving lessons in piano and guitar for the best part of the last ten years. I travel to areas in the borough of Lewisham including New Cross where I live, Brockley, Lee and Blackheath. I have previously worked professionally in many other major cities in the UK including Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle. My travel and working experience has also taken me to such places as Mumbai in India and San Francisco in the USA.

I am a specialist in making lessons both fun and interesting for children who may be in the very earliest stages of learning to play a musical instrument. Those children I have taken up to grade exam levels have all passed with good overall results, whilst other children will continue to learn without exams if we feel this is not the best for them at this time or until they are ready to get the most positive experience out of the grade exam process.

Although my schedule is now very busy, adults are also very welcome to enquire about lessons to join my mature beginners, returning adults or parents who are taking lessons on the piano or the guitar alongside their children. In some circumstances I have been teaching adults with a specifically tailored approach on their chosen instrument, depending on what they are looking to get out of having lessons at the moment and whether or not they have any previous experience.

My personal experience in the music industry includes writing and directing music for children’s productions at the Bristol Old Vic theatre, playing Jazz piano at special events, performing on bass guitar in contemporary bands and giving Classical tuition to students who have been at levels up to Grade 8 standard. I’m very open to giving support, advice and tuition to any individual who might be looking for something in particular at this stage in their musical journey.

Another important part of my career history to date has included marketing and account management for a number of clients in the charity sector including Christian Aid, RNIB and The Children’s Society. I have transferred many of the skills from this experience into helping out other private tutors in the UK to get in touch with new students near to them that are now looking for lessons in their field. If you are a student looking for a lesson in any instrument or subject, please fill in the form to get in touch.
